Q. How do I register for the conference?

A. Visit our marketplace site, click on the “Register” link, and use the online marketplace, selecting the options that pertain to you.

Q. Which options should I choose / What do they options mean?

A. There are drop-down menus on our marketplace site that reflect differences in professional status (faculty or student).

For membership dues: If you are current on membership dues, choose “Current Member.”  If you have not paid this year’s dues, choose “student” if you have yet to complete a terminal degree, or “faculty” if you have completed a terminal degree.  The same distinction applies for conference registration rates.

Your attendance at the banquet is optional.  If you choose to attend the banquet, please ensure you choose the dietary selection (Kosher / Vegetarian / “Standard”) that best describes you, and note any additional considerations in the space provided.

Finally, if you would like to stay in on-campus housing (which is less expensive, but features fewer amenities, than the local hotels), there are two options: one for single occupancy, and one for dual occupancy.

Q. What if I would prefer to stay off-campus in a hotel?

A. The neighborhoods surrounding Loyola University Chicago’s Lakeshore Campus have a selection of other accommodations available.  We have set aside a discounted block of rooms at the nearby Hampton Inn for your convenience.  Click HERE to book these at our discounted rate.

Q. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

A. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transportation to and from Loyola University Chicago. There are several taxi and ride-sharing services that provide transportation from Chicago Airports (ORD) to the University at approximately $40 for the 20-40 minute ride (rate and duration dependent on time of day). You may also utilize the CTA’s “L”, which has an on-campus stop (Loyola Station on the red line). Loyola University’s website has helpful links and a list of buses and trains that come near LUC’s lakeshore campus.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Because access to on-campus printers will be limited at best, and because sometimes technology fails us, we advise that in addition to a printed copy of your presentation, please remember to bring a copy of your printed registration to the conference for reference.
